Wedding Photos in a Train boneyard.

Their Story:
One thing about these two that stole me we were a perfect fit - is how they show up for their community and truly rise to walk the talk they talk. Even when its hard. Just a little lore for you: Mel is a Veteran + Military Loan Officer who has hacked the system and uses her knowledge to help families buy homes, and build stability. She was my LO when we bought our dream home and has become a close friend ever since. Together, She and Isaac have a blended family of 6 kids ranging all over the age spectrum. We both previously lived in Washington and bonded over everything we love about Alaska in comparison - and from there, I have had the honor of capturing their family multiple times now [Even though I am not a family photographer - I have been known to take one on for the homies]
Planes + Trains + Automobiles
When it came time to plan their bonus session - I had just found this small community owned museum that was more or less. a large scale junkyard of sorts. Boasting old ambulances, trans, carts, planes, and busses - a vintage loving photographer's dreamland. M + I expressed wanting to initially shoot on railroad tracks or schedule a special time with the department of transportation to have permission and private access to the trains. However, shooting on the railroad tracks is not only highly dangerous, but also illegal, and I was not willing to risk our lives or livelihoods for photos. Getting a special access permit was also challenging, so I was STOKED to have found this location right in Wasilla.
I texted Mel "Look what I found!" and her response?
- "That's the Temu version of the Alaska Railroad Trains."
I told her to trust the vision because actually, this is SO much better - and I am going to show you why you always should
trust the photographer.
More than just photos.
These are your legacy + most precious heirlooms.
Destination Wedding Photographer | Alaska
The Wasilla Transportation Museum is like stepping back in time. Before social media killed human connection, before algorithms decided your memories are just content - before everything was an app, subscription or User Generated Advertisements. Your photos are so much more than something to post to a timeline or Tiktok for likes. Photos are all that is left of us when we are gone, time capsules from every season and era of life. They are what tells your story, how your kids kids will remember you - they are the only thing you get to tangibly take and keep forever from your wedding.
THAT is the value in the service I provide my clients.
THAT is why it is so important to me to tell your story, your way.
